My Current Wishlist | April 2015

I've been loving doing these wishlist posts! I don't know if anyone really finds them interesting, but I enjoy making them so much! I have quite a few things on my list at the moment, but as I am a student and these are all quite expensive, they'll probably stay on the list into the unforeseeable future. That is unless I suddenly decides that my life would not be complete without them and I end up buying them even though I really shouldn't. It has definitely happened more than once before...

Spring Break 2015!

For spring break this year, my boyfriend and I went to Tel Aviv (and we also traveled around a bit)! I have been there once before, spring break two years ago, and I love it there so much! I love the mixes of different people and cultures, and how it is a perfect blend of western and middle-eastern. And the food... Oh my..! The food is amazing! They have the most amazing markets with fresh, vibrant, amazing, locally grown fruits and vegetables, nuts, spices and every other possible amazing food item you can imagine (I bought 2kg(!) of medjool dates, among other things, to bring home!!). I am literally in heaven when I am at one of those markets! And the meals they prepare are divine too! Falafels, the most amazing hummus ever, incredible salads, homemade lemonades, shakshuka, and the list goes on and on! They have the most amazing shawarma too, but as I am not eating meat anymore, I didn't get to enjoy one this time around..

I mentioned in my last post that I am not the biggest history person, but you can't help but be interested in the history of this place! I'm pretty sure it's the area with the most densely packed history in the world (don't quote me on that, but I can't be far off..). Imagine walking on the same paths as Jesus, or the romans, or Moses or Abraham and probably a million other important people that I can't think of right now. It is so cool!
We did more historical things the last time we went (you can read about that here), and this time we mostly enjoyed ourselves and relaxed, but definitely with a hint of exploring, history and adventure as well!

As you could probably tell, the market was definitely one of my favorite things about the trip, and if I had to choose I think going to Yafo (or Jaffa) was my other favorite. Yafo is the old town of Tel Aviv, and I really loved it there. It's older (obviously) and so pretty with narrow streets and light brick buildings! They also have an entire area where all the streets were named after the different zodiac signs, which I thought was so neat. It is definitely a place I want to go back to.
Another thing I loved was experiencing passover there again, and of course catching up with everyone from last time.

We definitely had the most amazing time! It is one of my favorite places, and I can't wait to go back!

Chilling under a carob tree! How cool is that, they just grow randomly everywhere!
Visiting some huge natural caves

The Tel Aviv Skyline!

In Yafo! How pretty are those streets?!

I also posted a travel diary on my youtube channel if you want to check it out and see what we did day to day:
